The Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Trade Alliance this week announced its first trade trip to Taiwan.
The trade mission will connect New Mexico companies with like-minded businesses in Taiwan, said Randy Trask, director of the alliance.
“It’s going to be centered around a semiconductor trade show. Anything from LEDs to semiconductors, this would be a fit,” Trask said. “We’ll do the personalized business matchmaking.”
The New Mexico Greater China Trade Office, which has a person under contract in Taipei, will help.
“We’re looking for technology startup companies. We have a sister park, Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park, and it’s one of the leading centers. It has every major Fortune 500 company there that does R&D doing work there,” Trask said.
The Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Trade Alliance is an intergovernmental partnership created to expand the region’s international trade promotion efforts.
